[Archon-L] Record Groups Identification Question

I had no problem setting up our record groups, which are also indicated
by letters (see
https://uisapp-s.uis.edu/archon/index.php?p=collections/classifications
, for example). I'll try to review exactly how I did it, but I don't
remember it being difficult.

I have just begun to use Archon in our small school archives. I want to
enter our record groups but we use letters instead of numbers (AC -
Academic Dept.; SU - Superintendent's Office, etc.). In Classification
Manager, only numbers are allowed to identify record groups. Is there a
work-around that will enable me to use our already assigned letter
classifications?
