[Archon-L] mysql errors

Has anyone seen this problem? Archon was working fine last time I used
it (Thurs afternoon) but now I get the following errors:

 

Warning: Could not connect to MySQL Server at localhost with user
archontest. Please check your settings in config.inc.php. in
/data/website/archon/db/MySQLDatabase.php on line 46

Warning: Could not select database mcusa in
/data/website/archon/db/MySQLDatabase.php on line 339

Warning: Could not connect to MySQL Server at localhost with user
archontest. Please check your settings in config.inc.php. in
/data/website/archon/db/MySQLDatabase.php on line 46

Warning: Could not connect to MySQL Server at localhost with user
archontest. Please check your settings in config.inc.php. in

Fatal error: Could not load Archon: There was a problem querying the
database in /data/website/archon/packages/core/lib/archon.inc.php on
line 1704

 

When I try to log on to phpmyadmin on the same machine I get

 

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket
is not correctly configured)
