Hello,

My name is Amanda Stevens and I am currently researching and evaluating
archives management software programs that are used by small and
medium-sized archives for the Council of Nova Scotia Archives (CNSA), an
archives association in Nova Scotia, Canada. This information will be
compiled into a report that we will make available to CNSA members to assist
them in choosing new software to implement. Archon is one of the programs I
am looking at

Part of my research will consist of contacting and interviewing archivists
at small and medium-sized archives, preferably in Canada or the United
States, who are using the software programs under review to find out what
their experiences have been. I was wondering if any of you who are using
Archon for archives management at small or medium-sized archives would be
interested in speaking with me about your experiences using the software.
The interview can happen at your convenience but I expect to carry out my
interviews in late July and August. The report will be completed and
published on the world wide web in October 2008.

Please note that this is not a scientific study. There will be no statistics
gathered or published. We only want to gather feedback when software is used
in a real archival setting. Any comments we receive will be viewed by myself
and the committee supervising this project. General comments (anonymized)
may be included in the final report.

Thank you very much for your assistance. Please contact me if you have any
further questions about the project or suggestions for the project.

Sincerely,

Amanda Stevens, MLIS
