[Archon-L] Question re: Finding Aid in Archon

Hi all,
I hope this isn't an inappropriate question for the Archon listserv.
Here at the University of Houston, we are in the process of transferring
all of our existing finding aids into Archon. One of them is giving me
particular trouble.
The issue is that this finding aid is non-standard. It has a large
series within it, but the processor occasionally created subseries
within that series. However, not everything in the series is within a
sub-series. You may get twenty folders at the series level, then a
sub-series of ten folders, then back to more folders at the series
level. So what ends up happening is that all of the Series boxes and
folders display together in one bunch, and all the Sub-Series boxes and
folders display together in another bunch at the end, so everything is
out of order.
Do I just need to accept that it is going to display out of order
because it was processed with a mix of Series and Sub-Series? Should I
go back to the archivist and tell him to redo his 96-page finding aid?
Or is there a way to handle this within Archon?
Also, I'm a little confused generally about how to handle very large
series that span multiple boxes. I've just been putting the folder
within the box within the series. Is that right? It just seems strange
to do this because we have smaller collections where there is more than
one series in a box, and I've been putting the folder within the series
within the box.
Thanks,
Julie
