[Archon-L] Importing data to Archon

I’ve been following Archon Project since its early beginnings. It is a great
project indeed and it would fill all “my” archive needs.

 

However, before I start with it, I would like to get some help on this
issue:

 

Most of my archival descriptions have a very simple and standard structure.
I have converted all of the old Word tables, Access tables and alike that I
inheridited into Excel format. 

 

The question is: is there a simple way to import Excel data into Archon
without retyping all the information? Is it a question of using a user
defined SQL script?.  

 

In that case, are there some guidelines to do it, or it requires advanced IT
skills?
