[Archon-L] Ever-changing folder list

We have several (mostly artificial) collections in the University Archives
that grow with additions on a weekly basis including Subject Files, Faculty
Alumni Files, Photographs, etc. As new folders are added they are simply
interfiled in the appropriate box or cabinet drawer. I have been thinking
about how best to put these folder lists in Archon and would appreciate any
suggestions or clarification to my understanding of what Archon can do in
the content manager module.

In the past (up until January), a card was created for each new folder,
interfiled in the card catalog, and that was that. As folders will regularly
be added, adopting a number for each folder title for inputting into Archon
simply does not seem practical as they will regularly shift and be a pain in
my dreams of an efficient workflow to update. I have settled on simply
listing the folder titles in the Description field (in the Content Manager)
for an individual box or cabinet drawer instead of listing each as a folder.
This will mean that only occasionally will an individual folder have to
shift from one box or drawer to another. Is anyone working with a similar
collection in Archon? Is it possible to change numeric sequences of box and
folder lists and I have simply missed that bit?

Thank you.
