Melissa,
We'll have to look into the first problem, not sure what is
happening there.
I think you might be able to deal with it by defining a physical
containter in which that folder sits (I assume it is in envelope
or something, not just free floating right.) You could then
define that type of containter in the level/containter manager
and put the folder in that containter--make sure the box for
physical is checked when you create it, but not intellectua
As to your second question, if you want the box to show all the
descriptive fields you need to go into the level/contanter
manager and check 'intellectual' for level/containter type.
By default, we consider boxes to be only intellectual levels of
description. Whatever you want to do at your repository is fine,
but I am not sure how changing box to make it also act as an
intellectual level of description will affect the output; my
sense is that it will probably have some bad consequences.
This business of the containters is a bit confusing, because as
you know archival description and EAD overlap two competing
hierarchies, physical and intellectual.
Thanks,
Chris
