Jason,

I'm not sure if I understand correctly--are you trying to restore
to a database that was created in Archon 1.0? If so, I would
think you should install a version of 1.0, do the restore from
sql file either in archon or phpmyadmin, then upgrade Archon
using the using the 1.11 install packet. There are some
differences in the data model between 1.0 and 1.1, so you cannot
restore a 1.0 database directly into a 1.1 version of archon.
But the installer/updater will take a 1.0 DB and transform
everything to the 1.1 data structure.

Thanks,

Chris

I installed Archon v1.0 last year on a "live" server I have for personal use. I did spend a significant amount of time populating the database, but felt there might be security issues running and editing a liver version of Archon. So I decided to install XAMPP and work off a local machine while I was getting comfortable with the software. I did backup the Archon MySQL database I populated as an SQL file as well as the installed files.

I cannot figure out how to "swap" for lack of a better term, the newly-created Archon database with my earlier version. And I know I shouldn't have assumed it would be so easy because the Archon database not only contains collection information, but other data that might cause problems with a new installation.
