[Archon-L] "repository not defined" and EAD importing?

We've run into a situation where EAD doesn't seem to import at all into
our Archon database.  We took a few EAD files from the Library of
Congress site http://lcweb2.loc.gov/faid/source.html to test out the EAD
upload function and when our programmer tried to import them he gets an
error message saying: 

"Repository not defined"

Any ideas what might be causing that? 

Also, I myself, at the user-level have access to the database manager,
but when I click on the "yes I am sure" button to import, it says
"permission denied"

(We are preparing to import some raw EAD of our own finding aids that
were coded by a partner institution for a project last year;
unfortunately we haven't received them yet to test directly)
